An incredibly artistic open-faced?locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unique?is crafted in 15kt rose gold, and is quite substantial in size. In the center is glass frame, which covers the front-facing locket feature. Surrounding the center is a gorgeous wreath-like design, which is?intricately detailed with 3-dimensional mixed metals details. A pattern of fine?leaves and flowers are crafted in silver, and yellow and rose gold. Sparkling diamonds and delicate natural seed pearls are incorporated within the design. Dangling freely from the base are three vessel links, which add lovely movement to the design. The back of the locket displays a gold-framed piece of glass that flips up, revealing a spot for a favorite photograph or colored fabric, which shows through to the front. A large etched bail at the top of the pendant makes it simple to hang from a complimentary chain. This outstanding piece is beautifully made, and would make a wonderful addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 4 1/8" long, is 1 7/8" at the widest point, and slightly more than 1/4" thick.
